I did not know whether all the substance in the world could be understand, just like the recognition of theinfinity and the opposite site. But I thought that if you wanted to getsomething, you must find a proper way. As you wanted to know something abstractor concrete, you must always get the proper way, with concrete for thesubstance and abstract for the mind.
Our conscious is always coordinating with the spirit and the substance. Because of the way we think, wedo not see that we may be proceeding down a narrow path of knowledge and thatif we look slightly left of right we will be staring directly at the unknown.Always, we grow up thinking more is known than actually is. If we had a betterdescription of the limits of present knowledge, that description could be apart of what we are taught. Such insight would be a better perspective on whatis known and what is currently unknown.
In time, many things now unknown will become known. We will learn more about what lies below the truth. Theaccumulating pile of date can be misleading, however. Beyond currently unknownare the things are inherently unknowable.
Indistinguishing the known or theunknown from the unknowable, the level of detail can be decisive. The level ofdetail is what separates the delusion of the gambler from the wealth of thecasino owner. The gambler attempts to predict the individual and unpredictablespins of the roulette wheel; the owner concerns himself with the quitepredictable average outcome.
(在任何世界中,错误的区分已知和未知都是相当危险的。)
The prediction process is aided bythe fact that the artificial is generally simpler than the natural. The roll ofa bowling ball down an alley, for instance, is easier to predict than themotion of an irregular stone tumbling down a rough hillside. It is likely thatthe artificial will increasingly save us from the unpredictable. It may beeasier to move gradually toward a completely enclosed earth whose climate couldbe artificially controlled than to learn to predict the natural weather.
